That’s the philosophy Chef Shilpa Dandekar brings to every dish she creates.


Born and raised in Murud, Maharashtra, India, Shilpa’s love for food began in her family kitchen, where spices told stories and meals brought people together. That passion carried her across continents, from India to London, where she refined her craft in some of the world’s most respected kitchens.

Shilpa trained and worked in Michelin-starred restaurants, including Quilon and Brasserie Blanc, before opening her own acclaimed restaurants — Pure Indian Cooking in Fulham and the recently launched Pravaas in South Kensington. Each venture reflects her vision: to celebrate authentic Indian flavours with modern global finesse.
